Rejoice with them that rejoice,
and weep with them that weep.
- Romans 12:15 -
Now we know that if the earthly
tent we live in is destroyed,
we have a building from God,
an eternal house in heaven,
not built by human hands.
- 2 Corinthians 5:1-2 -
I know God won't give me more than I
can handle, I just wish He didn't trust me so much.
- Mother Teresa -
Life without faith in something
is too narrow a space to live
Faith is the bird that sings
when the dawn is still dark
In faith there is enough light
for those who want to believe
and enough shadows to blind those who don't.
Sex, drugs and Rock'n'Roll is easy.
True Christianity...that's rebellion.
- Alice Cooper -
Don't pray when it rains if you don't pray when it shines.
People ask me, "Why do you believe in God? How do you know God exists? What if God is a hoax?" But I mean, why do people believe in love? So many people kill each other; our world is degrading, divorces are at a all time high, and a lot of people cheat on one another. With all that, how can you believe in love? When you hear it like that, love just sounds like a hoax. But when you see love, when you feel love, it gives you this hope. That's why you hear about it all the time; that's why it's the biggest issue in our world. Love is something cliche as it sounds, it's truly unexplainable. God is unexplainable. He sent his only son to die for us, us humans who are so screwed up. Love is the very foundation our universe is built upon. Without love, none of us would be here.
Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.
- Psalm 30:5B -
Faith makes things possible, not easy.
What we must realize is that, no matter how out-of-control our lives seem, God is in control of everything, and that nothing happens to the Christian by accident. Although we may be surprised at events that happen, God isn't.
May Integrity and uprightness protect me. Because my hope is in you.
- Pslam 25:21 -
Problems will always be a part of life, and at times when you’re down, when you’re at your lowest point, talk to God. If you ask sincerely, he will enlighten you, clear your confusion, ease your pain, calm your fears, and heal your heart. It’s not going to provide you an instant solution to your problem, but God works in mysterious ways, and as long as you walk with Him, and just trust and believe, the sooner you’ll get to that place where you’ll see everything clearly, and you’ll finally begin to understand. Everything happens for a reason. You may not understand the reason now, but you will when the time is right.
And don't be wishing you were someplace else or with someone else. Where you are right now is God's place for you. Live and Obey and Love and Believe right there.
- 1 Corinthians 7:17 -
God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain. But He did promise strength for the day, comfort for tears and light for the way.
Give, and it shall be given to you. For whatever measure you deal out to others, it will be dealt to you in return.
- Luke 6:38 -
Though we do not know what the future holds, God does. The Bible teaches us that everything happens for a reason. We may not know the reason yet, and we may never know the reason, but God does.
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
- 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 -
You can choose your sin, but you can't choose the consequences of your sin.
Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.
- 1 Timothy 4:12 -
All I can say is that when you lay your head down to sleep tonight, you offer a small prayer or few words into the night sky and thank God that you are blessed to be alive. Appreciate life. At the end of the day, at least you have one.
So we're not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without His unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. There's far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can't see now will last forever.
- 2 Corinthians 4.16-18 -
You may say that what happens to me is a coincidence, but the more I pray the more coincidences happen.
Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.
- 2 Corinthians 5:1-2 -
God determines who walks into your life. It's up to you to decide who you let walk away, who you let stay, and who you refuse to let go.
